Start/Sit Comparer
Two to four players, side by side, on the week's P10–P50–P90 projections. The call goes to the highest P50, and when the bands mostly overlap we say so instead of faking a lock.
Quick answer
How do I pick between two fantasy players?
Start the higher P50 — the model's median week, from the projection set the accuracy ledger grades in public. Then read the bands: when two P10–P90 ranges mostly overlap, the edge is a lean, not a lock, and the wider band is the higher-variance play. This page runs that comparison on any two to four projected players, on the newest posted week.
No weekly projections have posted yet, so there's nothing to compare. The season's first posted week turns this page on.
FAQ
Which week do these numbers come from?
The newest posted week — the comparer names the week it's running on and when that week's numbers were last written. Every week also keeps its own hub page, eighteen of them, each with that week's top starters by position. Before the first week posts, the comparer stands empty rather than improvising a number.
What makes a start/sit call close?
The bands, not the medians. Two players can sit three points apart at the P50 with ranges that cover most of the same ground — that's a lean, and the call prints the overlap it's leaning across. Clear is reserved for pairs whose shared stretch is less than half of the narrower range. One game is a small sample, so expect more leans than locks.
Why can't I find a player in the comparer?
The pool is the week's projection set, deliberately. Players ruled out or doubtful on the latest injury report — IR, PUP, and suspensions included — are held out of the week's numbers rather than projected at full strength, and a player without enough usage history to price doesn't carry a weekly number at all. Everyone in this week's pool is searchable by name, team, or position.
